C&W Equipment Rentals rents heavy equipment to contractors, crews and property owners across Southeast Michigan. We supply mini excavators, mini skid steers and dump trailers to the landscapers, hardscapers, concrete crews and excavators who keep this region moving.
We started C&W because we know these customers. They're our family, the people we grew up around, and the crews we've worked beside. They show up early, they work hard, and they can't afford to lose a day to a machine that isn't ready. We built this business so they don't have to.

Meet the Owners
The C&W in our name stands for Chisholm and Washington, the two of us behind every rental.
Arnett Chisholm, Equipment Guy
Arnett has spent nearly a decade in landscaping in Southeast Michigan. Since 2017 he's been with Greenlawn Landscape & Maintenance in Farmington Hills, where he's now a Landscape Supervisor running crews of five to seven people. A lot of that time has been spent in the seat of loaders, lifts, skid steers and excavators, so he knows these machines the way the people who rent them do: what a contractor needs on a job site, what breaks down and what holds up.
In 2018 he started his own company, D1 Landscape & Maintenance. He built a base of repeat customers by showing up and treating people well. Earlier, he worked in sales at Finish Line in Novi, which taught him how to listen to customers and figure out what they actually need. He brings that same approach, along with a clean shop and well kept equipment, to every C&W customer.
Isaiah Washington, Business Guy
Isaiah grew up in Metro Detroit. Fifteen years ago he left home for boarding school and then the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. From there he built a career in New York as an investor at Insight Partners and CoinFund, learning how to evaluate businesses and help them grow.
Along the way he learned the language of finance and how to build a business that lasts. Now he's bringing that experience home. The hardworking people in construction and landscaping are the community he grew up in, and C&W is how he's investing back into it. At C&W, Isaiah keeps the business on solid footing: smart fleet purchases, fair pricing and steady growth. Every step forward is one the company can afford to take, so customers can count on C&W being here for the long haul.
